Theft from vehicle incidents probed

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating two theft from vehicle incidents that occurred in the same area of Schuylkill County.

Troopers said the unlocked 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche of Jason A. Wright, 30, of 916 Main St., Valley View, Hegins Township, was entered while parked at his home. Removed from the vehicle was an envelope containing a $50 bill. Also taken was a AM/FM receiver valued at $15.

The Buick LeSabre of a 17-year-old female juvenile was entered while parked at 1447 W. Main St., Valley View. Removed was a Nintendo Wii game system console, Ipod Nano, Wii video game, Vera Bradley purse, an unopened package of cigarettes and $4 in one-dollar bills.

The entries occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, and 9 a.m. on Sunday.
