Three cited after incident at bar

Tamaqua police have filed charges related to a Jan. 1 incident at Freddy's Pub, Mauch Chunk St. Three individuals were allegedly involved in an altercation at 2 a.m. All three have been cited.

According to police, Nicole Swanson, 25, of 237 W. Patterson St., Lansford, had struck Justin Startzel, 21, of 234 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua, in the head.

Startzel was then also allegedly struck by Swanson's friend, Charles Oliver, 48, of 1829 Pine Mill Rd., Equinunk, Wayne County.

All three were cited for harassment.
