Carbon man jailed on threats count

A Carbon County man was jailed on a charge of terroristic threats following an incident in Lehigh County.

Slatington police said Andrew Kressler, 62, of 2367 E. Lizard Creek Rd., Lehighton, was charged for allegedly placing a telephone call to the grandmother of his girlfriend and making threats to shoot the grandmother's son-in-law.

Kressler was arraigned on the charge and committed to the county prison in lieu of $10,000 straight cash bail, police said.
