Appeal denied
Brandon Thomas Hollywood, 29, Pottsville, lost his appeal in the Pennsylvania Superior Court to have his conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol overturned.
He claimed the evidence was insufficient to identify him as the driver. Testimony was Pottsville Patrolman Joseph Welsh, began following Hollywood's car which accelerated, turned out its lights, went through a stop sign. At some point the officer lost sight of the car but came upon in parked in a lot near an ally and it was empty. The officer followed foot prints from the car on the February morning in 2009 in the snow to a residents where they found Hollywood. The higher court ruled the prints were sufficiently clear to be tracked.
