A Monroe County man was jailed on several charges recently.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 8:40 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, officers observed a male along SR940 in Pocono Summit, Tobyhanna Township, urinating on the side of his vehicle. He was later identified as Mack Quiteh, 52, of Tobyhanna.

When approached by the officers Quiteh stated he was just released from prison nine hours earlier and was on his way to pick up his son from a basketball game.

A further investigation revealed that Quiteh's driver's license was suspended for a prior driving under the influence (DUI) conviction. Also, there was an active warrant for his arrest issued out of Schuylkill County. Police said Quiteh was under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest.

He was transported to the county prison in Snydersville and incarcerated on the outstanding warrant. He is facing charges of DUI, driving while under suspension-DUI related and open lewdness, police said.
