Texting leads to charges

A Schuylkill County man was arrested this week on charges of terroristic threats after texting two persons and allegedly making threats to them.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Justin David Blume, 38, of Barnesville, was texting messages to Vickie Jo Jones, 38, of New Philadelphia Rd., Orwigsburg, in West Brunswick Township, after he was court-ordered not to have contact with her due to a pending investigation. Jones told Blume to stop texting her.

As the text messages continued Joseph Lee Wells, 46, of Orwigsburg, told Blume to stop texting Jones. Blume then allegedly began to threaten Wells.

Blume was taken into custody and arraigned before District Judge James Ferrier, of Orwigsburg, on the threats count along with charges of intimidation of a witness and harassment. Bail was set at $20,000 straight. Troopers did not indicate if Blume posted the bail.
