Arrest in domestic incident reported

A Monroe Copunty man has been arrested and charged with assaulting his father in a domestic incident.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on Wednesday, Feb. 23, about 11:57 a.m. they were called to 105A Stillwater Drive, Pocono Summit, to investigate a reported assault. At the scene officers were told by Ioannis Anastasiaris, 59, that he was stabbed in the hand with a pen by his son, Andrew Anastasiaris, 28, and his life was threatened by the son. Police said the victim had a visible puncture wound to his hand.

The victim stated his son was not in the residence and is known to carry a firearm.

On Feb. 24 police located the son at his residence and took him into custody. He was transported to the county prison in Snydersville pending arraigment of charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.
