Schuylkill crash

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two vehicle crash about 3:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, at the intersection of S. Liberty St. and SR61, in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Betty A. Grickis, 83, of Pottsville, was westbound on S. Liberty and stopped at the intersection while Kevin R. Evitts, 41, of Orwigsburg, was northbound on 61. Troopers said Grickis pulled into the intersection directly into the path of Evitts. The right front of Evitts' 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt struck the front of Grickis' 1999 Toyota Corolla.

After impact the Cobalt traveled about 120-feet across all lanes of 61 and came to rest blocking the eastbound lane of Adamsdale Rd. The Toyota was pulled off the road by Grickis after impact.

Grickis and passengers William A. Lambert, 86, of Auburn, and Tyler R. Rhine, 18, of Orwigsburg, and Evitts were all not injured.
