Woman facing assault count

A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident at her residence.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 10:19 a.m. on Feb. 19 officers were dispatched to Laurel Drive in Stillwater Lakes, Pocono Summit, to assist ambulance personnel with a possible overdose.

Upon arrival officers identified Regina Falkowska, 57, of that address had consumed a bottle of vodka. She was checked out by paramedics and then placed under arrest for simple assault. She assaulted her husband after consuming the alcohol, police said.

She was taken into custody and transported to the county prison in Snydersville for arraignment.
