A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one- vehicle crash. State police at Frackville said the accident occurred about 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, along Valley Road, at the intersection with Lower Road, in Walker Township.

Troopers said Justin Lindenmuth, 25, of Quakake, was driving a 2009 Volkswagen GTI southbound when he lost control at the intersection. The car went off the left side of the road and hit a utility pole. Lindenmuth and his passenger, Matthew Barnisky, 23, of Brockton, were not injured.

Troopers said Lindenmuth was found to be under the influence and transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.

Damages to the vehicle were termed heavy and it had to be towed.
