Tired of getting singled out

Dear Editor:

It is Monday morning February 28th and I am waiting for the borough guy to come see me. Last time I had to make a donkey of them and myself here up on the 300 block of Spruce street in Tamaqua, but this time I will do it right.

I want to know how many people keep their garbage cans out in front of their home with lids closed on our block (and elsewhere) and we at 300 1/2, 302 1/2 Spruce, 304 and 306 Spruce are the only ones that get cited and harassed about it? Well taxpayers, your money is getting spent foolishly. It cost about $15 for a certified letter to get sent right?

Well instead of always driving by in your black truck and little yellow notebook writing our houses down be a man and knock on our doors. I think its harassment when we get continually singled out all the time and not the other neighbors who do the same thing. When you have ice keeping your gates frozen yeah the cans are kept out front cause we are not carrying filthy cans through our homes.

Yes we had to do it once when we had a RAT problem and I had a RAT in my home for two days till my dog chased it out.

When in a little alley you can't get through because some people's fences are ready to fall on you and their yards are like a jungle (which the borough doesn't do anything about, go figure) and the ice is thick. Who owns the alley? If it is the borough then they better start cleaning it so we can get around the block with our garbage cans and into alley safely. These questions I will find answers to!!! I can't go to borough meetings because I am hard of hearing and they don't talk loud enough for me to hear. If your are going to harass us about our cans make sure you go through the whole town of Tamaqua and cite each and every person who has their can outside the front of their house, because I'm sure we here at 300 1/2 Spruce, 302 1/2 Spruce, 304 Spruce, and 306 Spruce aren't the only ones.

Maybe I will take a day and drive around and mark each address that has a garbage can in the front of their house and will want something done to each and every one of those people. I'm sick and tired of me and my family being harassed by the Tamaqua borough and the guy in the black truck (I know who your are).
