Death of Monroe woman is probed

Published March 09. 2011 05:00PM

State police at Lehighton are investigating the death of a Monroe County woman, although troopers do not consider the death suspicious.

Troopers said on Monday, March 7, about 9:25 a.m. Jacqueline Kelly-Marshall, 38, of Daniel Court, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, fed her children breakfast and was preparing to take her son to his school bus.

The son found her unconscious on the floor and called 9-1-1. EMS personnel from the West End ambulance arrived and attempted to resuscitate her at her home and while en route to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, where she was pronounced dead.

Troopers said the victim's husband said his wife never drank or was using any kind of medication or had any medical issues. No alcohol or medications were found in the home, troopers said.

An autopsy was scheduled for this morning at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, troopers said, to determine the cause of death.
