Deflated tire causes crash on I-81
A deflated tire caused a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County, onSunday.
State police at Frackville said Louis C. Defazio, 72, of Tomball, Texas, was driving a 2003 Lincoln Navigator northbound at 1:09 p.m. when the passenger side front tire deflated. Defazio attempted to maintain control of the vehicle but it left the road on the east side and struck several trees in a wooded area.
Defazio was not injured.
