Man is picked up on bench warrant

Justin Franks, 23, of Tobyhanna, was taken into custody on March 17 at 10 a.m. by Pocono Mountain Regional Police after they learned the man was wanted on a bench warrant.

The apprehension took place at 5109 Belvidere Road, Tobyhanna, after which time the man was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.

Police said he remained in the residence for more than one hour before exiting the residence and being taken into custody. Police said Laura Franks, 45, the man's mother, was in the home at the time and was aware there was an active bench warrant against her son. Police said charges are being considered against her for refusing to open the door.
