New Ringgold man committed to jail

Kemper Ritchie, 42, of 275 Cold Run Road, New Ringgold, was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on March 16 after violating a protection from abuse order.

Police said he violated the court order at 9 p.m. at 277 Cold Run Road, East Brunswick Township, by harassing his mother, Linda Ritchie, by cursing and yelling at her while on her property.

Following arraignment, he was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
