Young is good
Dear Editor:
An organization cannot grow if it remains stagnant.
In order to grow it needs new ideas and young ideas.
The Sea Borne Services NAVYMARINESCOAST GUARD and MERCHANT MARINES are always recruiting and they have age limits.
We believe that`s what keeps the organizations going. We don`t understand why the younger men and ladies on active duty or discharged find it so hard to join Veteran organizations. Most of those organizations are manned by older Vets, and they are losing members every day.
In order for them to survive they need new ideas and younger members to keep them going. That`s why The Navy Club of Carbon County Ship 260 welcomes all new members and are keeping membership open at all times.
We need new people and new ideas, male or female. We meet the last Monday of each month at the Nesquehoning VFW at 7:30 pm.
Members also can be reached for information are: Scott Reinhart, Commander Ship 260, phone: (570) 645-7312; Stanley Jaroszewski, Senior Executive Officer Ship 260, phone: (610) 377-7501
I Remain,
