Assault incidents probed by troopers

State police at Lehighton are investigating two assault incidents.

Troopers said Shane Troutman, of Andreas, reported he was struck in the head by a blunt object along Hoffman Rd., in East Penn Township, about 1-1:30 a.m. on Monday, March 21. He suffered a cut to the head.

Troopers said the incident is under investigation.

The second incident occurred along Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Troopers said they are probing a reported assault at that location that occurred about 11:30 a.m. on March 18.

No other details were given.
