Drug arrests by Pocono police
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported two drug related arrests.
On March 11 at 5:01 p.m. officers observed a male walking on Hunter Drive near Blue Jay Road, in Pocono Farms. Officers stopped and spokewith the male, later identified as Wade Malcolm, 18, of Tobyhanna.
A further investigation revealed that Malcolm was in possession of marijuana and a large sum of U.S. currency. He was placed under arrest for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
On March 18 at 5:33 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along SR940 in Mt. Pocono. The driver was identified as Taalib Johnson, 20, of Tobyhanna. Police said they could smell marijuana inside the vehicle. A further investigation revealed Johnson was in possession of several bags of marijuana. He was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
