Arrests reported at Carbon parade
Jim Thorpe police reported on several arrests that were made at the annual St. Patrick's Day parade held on Sunday, March 13.
At about 4:40 p.m. officers were dispatched to Molly Maguire's Pub and Steakhouse, located at 5 Hazard Square, for two intoxicated females who were denied entry into the establishment and refused to leave.
Upon arrival officers were met by the business security who identified Sheree Ann Harvan, of 440 Center Ave., Jim Thorpe, as one of the females who refused to leave. As police began to speak with Harvan she displayed signs of intoxication and refused to leave after being asked several times.
Harvan was informed she was being placed under arrest and became combative. While she was placed in the police cruiser she kicked an officer in the face. Harvan was arrested for aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest, persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. She was arraigned and later placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $10,000 straight cash bail.
Three persons were cited for disorderly conduct. Douglas K. Miller, of 143 Forest Hill Rd., Mifflinburg, Union County, was cited about 4:10 p.m. after urinating in public; Joey Freundt, of Harrity Rd., Lehighton, was cited about 4:10 p.m.; and Janell Lyn Borusky, of 1939-1 Old Reading Rd., Catawissa, Columbia County, was cited about 4:15 p.m. at Molly's for refusing to leave the business and allegedly spit in the face of a security officer.
Two persons were cited for public drunkenness. John B. Lapp, of 18 W. Main Ave., Myerstown, Lebanon County, was cited about 4:15 p.m. and Todd Skakuper, of 1106 Yverdon Dr, Apt. 6, Camp Hill, Dauphin County, was cited about 3 p.m. Police said Lapp was also cited for disorderly conduct.
