Breaker Boys lose third in row
The PV Breaker Boys traveled to Bristolto take on the defending Eastern division champion Bucks County Broncos last week and dropped a 35-26 decision.
The lead changed hands several times as Shawn Nunemacher pulled down three receptions for touchdowns.
Defensive end Tony Stoeckel had 11 tackles and two sacks and linebacker Dean Founds added 10 tackles. Nate Shook threw three touchdown passes and ran one in himself.
In the third quarter, center Kevin Sanders was taken by ambulance to the hospital tearing his MCL.
The Breaker Boys looked to bounce back against last year's Western division champions the Lykens Thunder, but the latter physically dominated the line of scrimmage in a 54-19 blowout dropping the BreakerBoys to 0-3 on the season.
The Thunder returned three kickoffs for touchdowns and PV spent most of their offensive possessions inside their own 5-yard line.
John Zaprazny had PV's only first half touchdown on an eight-yard rush and Kris Nalesnik scored on a fumble recovery in the endzone to cap the scoring. DT Andrew Schlegel had five tackles , Jared Beers had six tackles and an interception and Dave Boyle and Noel Abadia notched four tackles each. Adam Schlegel and Dean Founds Jr. had the games only two sacks for the Breaker Boys.
