ESRC WINTER BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) Winter Basketball League Championship Game is set, as Ryan's Oil & Heating will meet R.R. Frey Services next week at 7:00 p.m. at the Tamaqua Area Athletic Center.
It marks the fourth straight time the two teams have played for an ESRC basketball championship. Last winter, Ryan's Oil & Heating (formerly Service Electric) defeated R.R. Frey Services for the League Title, while R.R. Frey Services defeated Ryan's Oil & Heating in the previous two ESRC Summer League championships.

(#2) R.R. Frey Services-(#3) Matika's Lawn Care/Blazosky Funeral Home
R.R. Frey Services raced out to a 16-5 lead and never looked back as they defeated Matika's Lawn Care/Blazosky Funeral Home 49-31 to advance to Wednesday night's Championship Game.
Matika's Lawn Care/Blazosky Funeral Home was rusty out of the gate, as it took them 10:13 to score their first field goal of the contest.
Jim Barron led R.R. Frey Services with 13 points, while Dave Wilson added 11.
For Matika's Lawn Care/Blazosky Funeral Home, Dan Blazosky scored 10 points in the loss.
(#1) Ryan's Oil & Heating-(#4) Cuz-N-Joe's Place
Ryan's Oil & Heating improved to 9-0 on the season with a 65-56 victory over Cuz-N-Joe's Place. They will now advance to next week's Title Game where they will have a chance to defend their ESRC Winter League Championship.
Ryan's Oil & Heating shot 8-for-20 from behind the three-point arc and placed four players in double-figures. Jon Scheuer led the way with 17 points, while Joe Schaeffer netted 14. Jeff Peel added 12 and Kieran Conway chipped in 11 for the winners.
For Cuz-N-Joe's Place, Damian Fritz scord a game-high 19 points and Soko Mujovic tacked on 11. League scoring leader Jon Veet (24.71 points per game) was held to a season-low eight points.
