Judges stand should stay

Dear Editor:

I am writing in reference to Carbon County Fair Judges Stand located at the Lehighton Grove. Rumor has it that it will be put out for bids as there are several individuals and organizations interested in it. Being one of the interested parties I would hope that the Borough of Lehighton places some stipulations in the bid first that it stay within the Lehighton area, secondly that the organization submit a preservation plan and lastly were they will display it for people to see it. Too many of our historic structures have gone away and it would be a real shame to let this gem leave our area.Thank you.
