April 27, 1965 The Panther Valley Jointure wins its first-ever track meet, edging Schuylkill Haven by a 53-50 score. Bill Benyo claims first in both the discus and javelin for the Panthers, coached by Tom Raymer. The winners also receive individual firsts from Rudy Butterworth (880), John Krauchick (shot put) and John Yankovich (pole vault) while the team of Butterworth, Yankovich, Ken Vermillion and John Vanko claims the mile relay.
