April 25, 1959 Terry German slugs a three-run homer to help power Lehighton to a 4-2 Lehigh Valley League win over Emmaus. German's blast, which comes in the first inning, plates Bob Boyer and Andy Semmel to provide run support for Don Stout. Boyer and Jerry German both end with two hits and a run scored while Dave Bowman adds a hit and an RBI. Stout goes all seven innings for the mound win, striking out nine while allowing just six hits and two walks.
