May 11, 1949 Louie Huber fires a two-hit shutout to help East Mauch Chunk gain a 2-0 Mountain League victory over Ringtown. Huber strikes out six, doesn't walk a batter and also starts a double play. He also knocks in the game's first run with a groundout. John "Doley" Smith collects two hits, one a triple, scores a run and steals a base while Joe Walck also finishes with two hits for the winners, coached by Harvey Rehrig.
