Monroe Co. man charged with assault

A Monroe County man was assaulted by his grandfather after the two got into an argument.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said that at 10:14 p.m. on May 2, Tyrone Foster, 18, of 7166 Mountain Drive, Tobyhanna, was assaulted by his grandfather, Donald Holmes, 62, same address.

Foster sustained cuts to his face and a swollen lip after he said he and his grandfather had a verbal argument that turned physical. Foster was struck by Holmes several times in the face.

Holmes was arrested for domestic violence and charged with simple assault and harassment.
