PV Golden Agers

The annual Memorial Mass for the deceased members of the Panther Valley Golden Agers for the past year will be held on May 9 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Summit Hill at 11 a.m.

Celebrants for the Mass will be the Rev. Jim Burdess and the Rev. K. A. Medve.

The church is handicapped accessible.

The scheduled meeting will follow the Mass.

JROTC award night

The Panther Valley JROTC will hold its Awards Night on Friday, May 13 at 7 p.m. at the high school. There will be a final tribute to SFC Addy and all former cadets are invited to the program.

Fishing derby

The Nesquehoning Conservation Club's Annual Fishing Derby will take place on Saturday, May 7 along the creek in Nesquehoning.

The registration is from 8-9 a.m. and the derby runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

Prizes and food will be given to the children participating.
