Assault incident probed in Carbon

State police at Lehighton reported investigating an assault incident that occurred at a Carbon County site.

Troopers said the incident occurred at the Educare facility in Weissport, on Tuesday, May 10, about 2:05 p.m. According to the report two females, one 14 from Summit Hill and one 16 from Lansford, entered into a verbal altercation on a school bus while parked at the Educare. The altercation turned physical with staff members of Educare having to separate the two.

Both girls were issued citations for harassment, troopers said.
