N.Y. driver facing DUI in Schuylkill
A New York state driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said they received complaints of an erratic driver along Interstate 81 about 8:24 a.m. on Saturday, May 21. The suspect vehicle was southbound at the time in Ryan Township.
Troopers located the vehicle and made a traffic stop after observing it being driven erratically. The driver was identified as James Kelly Robinson II, 60, of New York City.
He was found to be under the influence and taken into custody. He was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.
Robinson was then taken before duty District Judge David Plachko, of Port Carbon, on the DUI charge. Bail was set at $20,000, 10 percent. Robinson was unable to post the bail and he was committed to the county prison in Pottsville.
