Lehigh woman facing charges
A Lehigh County woman is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, at 7395 Lincoln Court, in Lynn Township.
State police at Fogelsville said Kristyn Marie Frank, 29, of New Tripoli, entered the residence of Frank Omar Vega, 29, and got into a verbal argument with him. The argument turned physical when Frank allegedly punched Vega in the face several times with an open and closed fist. Vega sustained a swollen and bloodied nose along with a swollen left ear. Behind the ear a large black and blue mark and bleeding was observed.
Troopers said while interviewing Frank they detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and it was determined she had driven to the location from a bar.
She was placed under arrest for simple assault and driving under the influence (DUI).
Troopers also reported on a drug arrest.
Lisa Rice, of the 6600 block of Jefferson Court, New Tripoli, was at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, about 7:37 p.m. on May 2 receiving treatment. While at the facility she was found to have a small amount of marijuana on her person, troopers said.
She was cited for possession.
