Lehigh driver facing DUI count

A Lehigh County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) and drug counts, following an incident in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Laurie Hudak, 47, of Catasauqua, was stopped operating a 2001 Pontiac sedan along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, about 3:35 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, for traffic violations.

At the stop troopers found Hudak to be under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance.

Cocaine and marijuana was found in her possession, troopers added.

Charges are pending.
