File for divorce

Justine Marie Evans, 140 Penn St., Tamaqua, filed for divorce from Richard Thomas Evans, 231 Spruce St., Tamaqua. They were married Oct. 16, 2004.

Eve J. Tropp, also known as Eve J. Matera, 241 Valley St., New Philadelphia, filed for divorce from Eugene P. Matera, 256 Valley St., New Philadelphia. They were married May 2003.

Revoke probation

Abdul Q. Nedab, Philadelphia, had his probation revoked by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine for failing to report to his probation officer within 48 hours of a new arrest and for possessing a dangerous weapon. He was resentenced to serve six to 12 years in a state correctional institution on charges of criminal conspiracy. A bench warrant issued for his arrest was vacated after he was brought to court.

Judge Charles M. Miller ruled as follows:

Kelly M. Dranginis, 26, of 139 Coal St., Cumbola, Blythe Township, had her probation revoked and her five days of liberty disallowed and the new maximum date for her release from the county prison was set at Oct. 3, 2011. Dranginis was cited by Trooper Edward J. Sanchez on a driving under influence (DUI) of alcohol charge.

Jessica Lynn O'Boyle, Ashland, had her probation revoked for for failing to make regular reports to the probation department and failng to make restitution payments. She was resentenced to serve six to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 17 days after pleading guilty to passing bad checks.

Amanda Spillane, 26, Warminster, had her probation revoked and was resentenced to serve one to two years in a state correctional institution. She had pleaded guilty to retail theft of 69 items from Walmart Store in Rush Township and was placed on probation for 12 months.

Pleads guilty

David C. Schaeffer, 24, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison beginning Memorial Day at 10 a.m., pay a fine of $1,000, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, $50 to Catastrophe fund, enroll in alcoho highway safe driving school, receive outpatient treatment, pay a $50 monthly fee for each month on probation, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center and his driver's license is suspended 12 months. Schaeffer was cited by Saint Clair Sargent William Dempsey.

Summary Appeal

Isaiah Johnson, 19, Franklin Park, N.Y., a student at Schuylkill Campus, Penn State University, North Manheim Township, appealed to court from a charge of underage drinking brought by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner. After a heaing Judge Charles M. Miller found him guilty of disorderly conduct and the fine and court costs imposed remained enforced.
