Schuylkill man jailed for break-in

A Schuylkill County man was jailed last week on a charge of burglary and related counts.

State police at Frackville said Shane Stoops, 21, of Brockton, was charged with entering the apartment of Markea Weller, 20, and Brandon Todd, 21, at 19 Main St., Apt. 3A, Middleport, about 9 p.m. Friday, May 13. Once inside he flipped over tables causing damage to some ceramics and household food. He then left the apartment with some items belonging to him.

Stoops was located at the scene, troopers said, and arrested. He was arraigned before duty District Judge James Reiley of Pottsville and committed to the county prison after failing to post 10 percent of $7,500 bail.
