Man charged after domestic call

A Schuylkill County man is facing charges after a domestic incident that was reported on Thursday.

State police at Frackville said troopers responded to the 100 block of Market Street in Cumbola, Blythe Township, at 5:18 p.m. for a report of a domestic situation.

On scene troopers learned that Richard A. Viars, 45, and a 54-year-old woman living at that address, were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical when Viars pushed, punched and kicked the woman.

Viars was removed from the residence and will be issued a summons for harassment, troopers added.
