Deer cause of Monroe accident

A deer was the cause of a one-vehicle accident that occurred about 9:37 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, along Terrace Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Madonna Woodruff, 52, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox and negotiating a curve when she had to swerve to miss a deer that entered the road in front of her. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck a ditch.

Woodruff was not injured.
