Valley Athletic still in first

The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) rolled into its second week of action withsix matches taking place onTuesday and Thursday at Coaldale's Black Diamond Park.

Valley Athletic Supply went 5-1 on the week (with its lone loss to defending league champion Sandstorm) to remain a game up on Sandstorm and Team Ram Rod atop the standings.

TUESDAY'S RESULTS

Dunder Mifflin Coal-Scared Hitless

Scared Hitless got the best of Dunder Mifflin Coal Region Branch by winning two out of the three games, 25-23, 20-25, 25-15.

Brandon Heffelfinger had seven points serving in the Scared Hitless win. Abby Owsinski had eight points for Dunder Mifflin.

Digger Wit Attitude-

Now Serving

Now Serving was one of two teamsthat posteda three-game sweep this week, defeating Diggers Wit Attitude, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.

Taylor Baddick from Now Serving had a league-high 20 points in the win.

Tyler Rother had five points and four aces in defeat.

Valley Athletic Supply-Sandstorm

In a rematch of last year's championship game, Valley Athletic Supply took two out of three games from Sandstorm by final scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Molly Harleman had 10 points for Valley Athletic.

For Sandstorm, Christa Mantz had 14 points.

To start Thursday's matches, Valley Athletic Supply took all three games against Now Serving, 25-17, 25-10, 25-20.

Valley Athletic's Jason Boris had 11 points and five aces. Zack Lakitsky had eight points and three aces for Now Serving.

Diggers Wit Attitude-Dunder Mifflin Coal Region Branch

Dunder Mifflin Coal Region Branch came out on top, winning two of three games over Diggers Wit Attitude, 23-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Kathleen Reilly scored 16 service points, including seven aces, for Dunder Mifflin. Erika Barron scored eight points to lead Diggers Wit Attitude.

Scared Hitless-

Team Ram Rod

Scared Hitless gave Team Ram Rod their first two losses of the season by taking two of three games in Thursday'snighcap, 25-18, 25-18, 19-25.

For Scared Hitless, Zack Lebo scored 12 points and five aces. Chris Fallabel tacked on nine service points in Team Ram Rod's defeat.
