A New Jersey driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were called to Miller Drive, near Lake Naomi Clubhouse, about 1:28 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, to a report of a pickup truck doing doughnuts in the parking lot. Upon arrival the vehicle was found across the street from the clubhouse in a construction area with security personnel from Lake Naomi on scene.

The driver was identified as Craig S. Liska, 32, of Ringoes. He told officers he had been drinking and that he has a previous DUI arrest. He started to perform field sobriety tests but stopped, stating he was too drunk to continue.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. Police said he will also be charged with various motor vehicle code violations.
