Dear Mr. Gower,

My wife Sandy and I are the owner's of those two Black Labs that were found walking up Bugzie's in the middle of the road this past Friday.

Your article said it all for my wife and I; "Good deed".

First, we want to thank that nice women in the SUV and all the others who assisted her in rescuing our dogs. Secondly, thank you Mr. Gower for reminding us all here in the Panther Valley area that there are many thoughtful and caring people that are our neighbors.

We also would like to thank the Carbon County Animal Shelter for taking great care of our dogs while in their care.

Our dogs Smedley and Chloe decided to wonder out of our West White Bear Dr yard; which is wired with an electric fence and lost their way home. My heart sunk when I noticed they were not in our yard.

Our search ended when friends called the animal shelter and was told that two Black Labs were brought in a few hours earlier.

We confirmed that they were our dogs but by then the shelter was closed so Smedley and Chloe were guests of the county for a night!

A happy ending that could have been very different if not for the thoughtfulness of caring people like those that helped our dogs. My wife and I thank you!
