McAdoo couple wed 50 years
Vincent and Mary Labert
Mr. and Mrs. Vincent J. Labert of McAdoo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 4. They were married in Immaculate Conception Church, Kelayres, by the Rev. Joseph Feeny.
Mrs. Labert is the former Mary Billet.
The couple has five children: Michelle, wife of Michael Haraida of Newark, Del.; Christine, wife of Terry Kurek of Hometown; James, husband of Joan Labert of Quakertown; Daniel, husband of Noel Labert of Orwigsburg; and the late Thomas Labert. They also have six grandchildren: Paul and Brian Haraida; Alexandra, Matthew and Mitchell Kurek; and Gwen Labert.
A family party was held at the home of their daughter, Christine, and an outdoor barbecue in the couple's honor was hosted by McAdoo Mayor Dane Watro and his wife, Tonya.
The Laberts were presented with citations from state Sen. Dave Argall and state Rep. Jerry Knowles, as well as a certificate of congratulations from Mayor Watro.
