Tamaqua High School Class of 1950 holds 60-year reunion
The Tamaqua High School Class of 1950 held a 60 anniversary reunion with dinner at the Top of the 80's Restaurant in West Hazleton. Classmates in attendance included: (seated) Idabell Zimmerman Hartman, Thelma Lech Maday, Josephine Calabrese Hinkle, Margaret Leibensberger Burrell, Melvin Breiner, Marion Folk Klein, Patricia Kester Stellfox, Theodore Kohler; (second row) Mearl Kistler Hartung, Jean Koch Yanega, Dolores Matalavage Cerami, Kay Griffiths Young, Robert Morgans, Michael Tatusko, Joan Jewells Breitman, Joan Kacik Hamilton, Mary Sloboda, Lois Moser Comisac, Maryliss Kleckner Beyrent; (third row) Rosalyn Kleckner Blattenberger, Joan Reitz Berg, Gwen Brachman Evans, Paul Womer, Violet Osenbach Wood, Marlene Knepper Reilly; (fourth row) Ernest Pachilis, Charles Krapf, Paul Miller, Daniel Postupack, Daniel Nelson, Kenneth Zimmerman and Bertram Leiby. Also attending was Sheldon Shafer. Paul Miller read letters from class members unable to attend. The group agreed to hold a class picnic on Aug. 20, 2011, at Leiby's Grove in the Lewistown Valley.
