Weatherly mancelebrates 90 years

Michael Nestor Jepko, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, celebrated his 90th birthday on Oct. 30.

Born in Coaldale in 1920, Michael has also resided in Omaha, Neb. and Weatherly.

He worked on the railroad prior to going into the service. He served in the United States Army from 1939 until 1949.

He also worked for Mengle Coal & Oil for 34 years.

He was married to his wife, Mary Agnes for 41 years until her passing in 1986.

He has three children, Michael, Weatherly; Joann Keys, Maryland; and Mary Lou Cookson, Illinois.

He is the proud grandfather of two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jepko is a member of the VFW, the American Legion and Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

He enjoys fishing, bowling and gardening.
