Sherry Haydt marries Daniel Shupp

Sherry Lynn Haydt, daughter of Jerry and Sally Haydt of Kunkletown, became the bride of Daniel Allen Shupp, son of Karl and Grace Auchter of Macungie and the late Lloyd Shupp, on July 24, 2010, during an outside ceremony at Jerry and Sally Haydt's home. Judge Debby York officiated the ceremony. Dan Smale was the organist.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose Denise Shupp of Illinois as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Wilkins of Kunkletown; Kristin Sherer of Kunkletown, cousin of the bride; and Abby Shupp of Palmerton, the groom's daughter.

Matt Shupp of Illinois, the groom's brother, served as best man. Ushers were Nick Wilkins of Kunkletown; Austin Shupp of Palmerton, the groom's son; and Travis Haydt of Kunkletown, the bride's nephew.

Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed friends and family to a reception at Indian Mountain Rod and Gun Club, Kresgeville.

A bridal shower, given by the bride's mom and bridal party, was held on July 11, at the bride and groom's house.

The new Mrs. Shupp is a 1993 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School. She is employed as a manager at 48 Hours Video in Brodheadsville.

Mr. Shupp is a 1990 graduate of Palmerton Area High School. He is currently employed by Blue Mountain Ski Area, Palmerton.

The couple now resides in Kunkletown.
