Tamaqua Area High School honors Students of the Month
Tamaqua Area High School Principal RuthAnn Gardiner has announced the school's Students of the Month for December.
The recipients are senior Kolby Mashackl, junior Suzie Arner, sophomore Hannah Miller and freshman Dustin Silkowski.
Kolby Mashack is the son of Jon and Sheila Mashack.
He is a member of the Chemistry Club, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and the wrestling team.
He plans to attend Bucknell University to major in biology/pre-medicine and continue his wrestling career.
Suzie Arner is the daughter of David and Colleen Arner.
She is a member of the Academic Competition team. Her hobbies and pastimes include reading, writing, sketching and spending lots of time with friends and family. She plans to attend Penn State University to study Nursing.
In 10 years, she hopes to be successfully working in a hospital in the area or in the Navy.
Hannah Miller is the daughter of Russel and Christine Miller.
She is a member of the Leadership Council, track and field team, Biology Club and Spanish Club. Her hobbies include 4-H, cooking and hunting.
She plans to attend college to study Art and Event Planning. In 10 years, Hannah hopes to be a wedding and event planner.
Dustin Silkowski is the son of Daniel and Donna Silkowski.
He is a member of the wrestling team and enjoys playing Xbox 360 and sports.
He plans to attend the University of Georgia to study Education or Physical Therapy.
In 10 years, Dustin hopes to be working as a teacher or physical therapist.
