Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred on Monday, June 28, at Juniper Drive and Millwood, in theJ-section of A Pocono Country Place, in Tobyhanna.

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to the intersection about 9:28 p.m. to a report of a vehicle in a ditch. Upon arrival officers made contact with the driver of the car, Patricia White, 45, of Tobyhanna. Officers detected alcohol on White. She submitted to and failed field sobriety tests. She was then placed under arrest and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results.
