Pocono arrests
Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several arrests made by officers recently.
On Sunday, July 4, about 12:12 a.m. officers were dispatched to 1652 Sunnyside Drive, A Pocono Country Place development, Coolbaugh Township, for a report of a female refusing to leave the property. Upon arrival officers made contact with Shacora Collins, 19, of Tobyhanna. Collins had an argument with her boyfriend and refused to leave. She started yelling and cursing the boyfriend and continued the conduct despite several warnings by police to stop. She was placed under arrest and transported to the county prison after being charged with disorderly conduct.
On Saturday, July 3, about 11 p.m. officers responded to a report of an assault at 5 Mailbox Rd., in Warkes Acres, Tunkhannock Township. At the scene police learned form Michael Bolis, that Carlos DeLacuesta, 51, threw a rock and hit Bolis in the neck while he was riding his all terrain vehicle past DeLacuesta's home.
DeLacuesta was cited for harassment, police said.
Also on Saturday about 11 p.m. officers responded to 2370 Winding Way, A Pocono Country Place, for a another reported assault. Upon arrival officers were told by Eric Schecter, 43, that Harry Campbell, 41, pushed him in the chest causing him to fall to the ground. Campbell fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. He will be cited for harassment, police said.
Also on Saturday, about 6:40 p.m., officers on bike patrol in the Carriage Square Shopping Center, SR196, in Tobyhanna, observed a vehicle parked in the fire lane. Upon approaching the vehicle the officers observed several open cans of beer in the center console. The driver was identified as James Barry, 48, of Tobyhanna. Barry showed signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and later released to the custody of a family member.
