Wet road blamed for Monroe crash

A wet road surface was blamed for a one-vehicle crash in Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Anthony j. Quaranta, 18, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am southbound on SR715 in Chestnuthill Township, about 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, when he lost control and struck a tree along the northbound berm. Quaranta was not injured, troopers said.

Troopers also investigated a crash about 1:40 a.m. on Monday, July 12, along Old Route 115 at SR209 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Danielle Graciani, 21, of Bethlehem, was driving a 2010 Dodge Charger northbound approaching the intersection when she lost control of the car. The vehicle traveled across 209 and into the Chestnuthill Diner parking lot and then down an embankment where it came to rest.

Graciani was not injured.
