Schuylkill couple injured in crash

A Schuylkill County couple was flown to a hospital following a one vehicle crash that occurred along Interstate 81 in Butler Township, on Thursday, July 8.

State police at Frackville said said Bruce Andrew Hauslyak, 57, of Frackville, was driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica northbound in the left lane when he lost control. The vehicle crossed over the center median, rolled multiple times, and cross both southbound lanes before coming to rest on the right shoulder on its roof.

Hauslyak and his wife, Sharon Ruth, 55, had to be extricated from the wreckage and were flown by LifeFlight helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Troopers are continuing their investigation into the crash.
