Schuylkill man jailed on warrant

A Schuylkill County man was jailed over the weekend on an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of Lackawanna County.

State police at Frackville responded to New Road in Lost Creek, West Mahanoy Township, about 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, to a report of a disturbance. At the scene troopers encountered Lawrence M. Meyers, 51, of Lost Creek.

A check revealed Meyers was wanted on a bench warrant. He was taken into custody and lodged in the county prison in Pottsville to await extradition to Lackawanna County.
