Crashes probed
State police at Lehighton reported on crashes investigated by troopers in recent days.
A one vehicle crash occurred about 7 p.m. on Monday, July 12, along Forest Inn Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Stephen J. Kenion, 24, of Palmerton, was driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza northbound when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve on the wet roadway. The car went onto the east berm and struck a fence. After striking the fence the car continued to travel north and struck a home.
Kenion was not injured. Troopers did not identify the homeowner. Troopers also said Kenion was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
On July 3 about 6:58 p.m. troopers investigated a crash along Blue Ridge Road in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Sherry King, 47, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer and negotiating a left curve when the vehicle rolled over due to excessive speed. King was injured but toopers did not indicate if she required medical attention. Damages were disabling to the vehicle.
A one vehicle crash occurred about 4:31 p.m. on July 1 along Deer Lane in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Scott D. Schraden, 43, of Lehighton, was driving a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck northbound when he lost control due to excessive speed while negotiating a left curve. The vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.
Schraden was injured but troopers did not indicate if he required medical attention. Damages were disabling to the vehicle.
Troopers cited Schraden for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
