Burglary probed in Monroe Co.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary that took place sometime between March 10 and July 10 at a residence in Eldred Township, Monroe County.

According to police, unknown criminals gained access to Paul G. Viani's rental property, located at Upper Smith Gap Road, through the rear door entrance by hitting the door with an known blunt object. Viani is a resident of New York, N.Y.

The actors then removed copper pipes from the basement area. They then fled the area through the rear door entrance in an unknown direction.
